在动画电影《守护者联盟》中,杰克冻人以前的名字叫做‘杰克’,是和妹妹等家人一起生活在森林里面的,每天无忧无虑。后来,杰克为了挽救妹妹的生命,在冰面上用拐棍把妹妹拉到一边,自己却沉入了冰冷的河水之中。杰克的手够不到冰面,而月光清晰的在杰克的视线里,这时候杰克的头发变白,杰克变成了所谓的“冻人”。之后,“杰克冻人”成为一个传说,但并不为人们所相信,因此刚出现的时候不能被人们所看见。
