Why should we learn English? Good question. Some of us do have a confusion why so many people spend so much effort to learn English, and also it’s not an easy task. In my opinion, we do need to learn English, and master it.

Ok, some of you will say that with the rapid development of the technology, machines have stepped into our daily life gradually, we can get the translation by machine quickly, learning so hard is just ask for trouble. Is it so? I don’t appreciate it at all. Language will be much beautiful when it is spoken out. For it is full of our feelings. We can enjoy it in the process. And how can you get the enjoyment by machines. And machine can not do a good job on the cultural backgrounds and phrases.

They say learning a foreign language is a good way to raise you IQ. How can you gain the improvement through machines?

征服英语的好习惯

你只要养成下面习惯中的一个,你就可以成为一个英语成功者!

1、 将英语真正融入日常生活!要生活在英语当中!

2、 把难单词、难句子做成海报,贴在家里,不知不觉就掌握了!

3、 睁开眼睛的第一件事就是“大声喊英语”!喊出一天的活力,喊出一天的充实和成功!

4、 入睡前一定要大喊英语十分钟!让英语进入潜意识,做梦也在学英语。

5、 “一日三餐前后”狂读五分钟英语,否则就不配吃饭,这叫“一日三餐法”!饭前读英语反思人生,饭后读英语有助消化

6、 跑步走路喊英语!既锻炼了身体肌肉,又锻炼了口腔肌肉!两个肌肉都发达的人绝对有“非凡的竞争力”!具体做法:在走路跑步前,先抄写一段英语放在口袋里。

7、 平时说英语、练英语的时候一定要元音特别饱满!这样可以训练自己的非凡气质。

12、 要养成随身携带英语书的习惯!我在窗边、厨房、客厅,甚至厕所都放了英语书。

学习外语的五大忌讳

第一, 过分讲究方法和技巧,而不愿意下真功夫。语言的运用是一种技能,但这种技能不是只学习技巧能够获得的。太讲究方法和技巧会被其占用很多的时间和精力,而对学习的内容本身投入较少的时间和精力,因此反而会影响学习的效果。如有一个学生,他订了10多种关于自学和考试的刊物,认真学习和研究,讲起方法来一套一套的,可他每次考试却大多考不及格。这是因为他只顾钻研方法和技巧,在学习内容上花的时间和精力太少,而且养成了投机取巧、不肯下功夫的习惯。方法和技巧只能适当利用,并且要从自己的学习实践中摸索出适合自己的方法和技巧才会真正管用。

第二, 过分讲究速度和效率,不愿花时间经常重复(复习)已学过的内容。语言运用是一种技能,技能则只有靠熟能生巧,要不断重复才会熟练,只有熟练了才会形成一种不假思索的技能。学英语就如唱歌,天天唱才不会忘记。

第三, 三天打鱼两天晒网,没有恒心,不能长期坚持学习。技能的熟练要有一个过程,在这个过程中会遇到各种困难,但不能向困难低头,要坚持不懈地反复学习,持之以恒。

第四, 不重视听力训练。语言是有声的,我们对语言的感受首先是语言的声音作用于我们的大脑。如果不练习听力,只是默默地阅读和背单词,其结果不仅听不懂别人讲外语,而且阅读水平也难以提高。

第五, 只学而不用。语言的实践性很强,如果只学而不用,就永远也学不好。我们学语言的目的就是为了应用,要学会在用中学习,这样才能提高兴趣,达到好的学习效果。
