海报是人们极为常见的一种招贴形式,多用于电影、戏剧、比赛、文艺演出等活动。海报中通常要写清楚活动的性质,活动的主办单位、时间、地点等内容。海报的语言要求简明扼要,形式要做到新颖美观。

电影海报起源

1895年12月28日,法国卢米埃兄弟在巴黎的一间餐厅里向35位观众放映了《火车到站》等短片,当时那张题为《卢米埃电影》的海报可能是世界上第一张电影海报。

早期的电影海报是纯粹为了电影的上片做宣传广告用途,就如卖场中的大多数促销海报招贴,是用手工绘制的,又称手绘电影海报。其真迹已较少见,好莱坞早期著名影片《飘》,《蒂凡尼的早餐》,《卡萨布兰卡》当初的海报都是手绘的,画面精美细致,至今仍有很高的艺术价值。

随着电影的普及,电影海报制作技术的进步,电影海报本身也因其画面精美,表现手法独特,文化内涵丰富,成为了一种艺术品,具有欣赏和收藏价值。但国外的海报收藏家一般只收藏原版电影海报,当然其头版及前几版更因其数量稀少升值潜力巨大而备受宠爱。

电影海报及其他电影衍生产品。从功能上分可分为两类:第一类是供广告促销用的,其产品上常标有“ForPromotion”(促销用)的字样,主要用做电影公司的广告,影院招贴,观众的赠品。第一类产品是不能用于销售的。第二类是可供销售的。大家在上海看到的电影海报,明信片,钥匙圈,纪念卡,马克杯,T恤等都属于电影的衍生产品。电影和电影的衍生产品早已成为一种文化,影响了一代又一代人,走进千千万万人的生活。

当今的电影海报大多画面精美,即使是同一部电影的海报,各国的版本都会有不同的表现手法,也可能突出不同的主题。一部普通的电影海报只有一二个版面,而一部畅销的大片就可能有数十种版面,《TiTanic》电影的海报应该是目前版面最多的海报了。
