从前,在一片岛上,有一个桃花国,到处都长满了不结果的桃花树。每一朵桃花上都又一个仙子,但在一朵最美丽的桃花上,有一位桃花公主,她叫冰桃,她长的十分漂亮,而且还很善良。

有一天,一个叫玛沙的女魔法师,她用魔法把桃花国除了冰桃公主之外的桃花仙子都变成了不会动的石头。还说:“要想救你们国的仙子,冰桃,你就来向我决战吧!”说完,她就飞回了她的城堡。

有了解救大家,冰桃跑到了魔法桃花泉,喝了几口清泉,她拥有了魔法之后,就立即飞到玛沙的城堡,向她决战!

冰桃走进玛沙的城堡,只见玛沙坐在大厅椅子上,手里还拿着一杯刚喝完的酒杯。冰桃对玛沙说:“快把我国的仙子变回原样!”

冰桃一说完,就飞到外头,说:“来吧!向我挑战吧!”冰桃赶紧飞出窗外,变出了桃花魔法棒,准备和玛沙决战!

一开始,玛沙就使出了“黑光毒针”,一根根毒针向冰桃射去,但冰桃赶紧挥动桃花棒,只见一朵朵桃花从桃花棒中飞出,把毒针抱住。

后来,她们大战了三天三夜,她们都彼此受伤,看到玛沙要进攻了,冰桃赶紧使出最高魔法,“桃花之旋”,使出了这么高境界的魔法,玛沙顶也顶不住,最后,就被桃花之旋给消灭了。桃花国的仙子们,也都恢复了原样!

使出了“桃花之旋”后,冰桃的魔法所剩无几,在赶回桃花国的途中,她的体力透支,不久就昏过去了。可这时,空中下起了“桃花雨”,冰桃公主的身上都铺满了桃花。这些桃花散发着灵气,这种灵气,把桃花公主的伤口痊愈了,疲劳夜都恢复了。

冰桃醒后,就迈着轻快的脚步,向桃花国走去!

The Princess and the Pea

Once upon a time there was a prince who wanted to marry a princess; but she would have to be a real princess. He travelled all over the world to find one, but nowhere could he get what he wanted. There were princesses enough, but it was difficult to find out whether they were real ones. There was always something about them that was not as it should be. So he came home again and was sad, for he would have liked very much to have a real princess.

One evening a terrible storm came on; there was thunder and lightning, and the rain poured down in torrents. Suddenly a knocking was heard at the city gate, and the old king went to open it.

It was a princess standing out there in front of the gate. But, good gracious! what a sight the rain and the wind had made her look. The water ran down from her hair and clothes; it ran down into the toes of her shoes and out again at the heels. And yet she said that she was a real princess.

Well, we'll soon find that out, thought the old queen. But she said nothing, went into the bed-room, took all the bedding off the bedstead, and laid a pea on the bottom; then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the pea, and then twenty eider-down beds on top of the mattresses.

On this the princess had to lie all night. In the morning she was asked how she had slept.

"Oh, very badly!" said she. "I have scarcely closed my eyes all night. Heaven only knows what was in the bed, but I was lying on something hard, so that I am black and blue all over my body. It's horrible!"

Now they knew that she was a real princess because she had felt the pea right through the twenty mattresses and the twenty eider-down beds.

Nobody but a real princess could be as sensitive as that.

So the prince took her for his wife, for now he knew that he had a real princess; and the pea was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it.

There, that is a true story.
