电竞专业即电子竞技运动与管理专业及艺术与科技专业等相关专业方向的统称。

2017年,南京传媒学院(原中国传媒大学南广学院)成立了国内首家本科电竞学院,设置了艺术与科技(电竞游戏策划与设计)和播音与主持艺术(电子竞技解说与主播),是全球首个专业从事电子竞技品牌设计、电子竞技赛事解说、赛事运营、战队管理本科高等教育的院校。

2017年6月2日,四川电影电视学院与成都电子竞技协会签订协议,开设“电子竞技运动与管理”专业,于2017年9月正式招生。四川传媒学院、四川科技职业学院三所四川高校也相继开设电竞专业。
